“Heavenly Father, I receive your love for me right now. I know that my sins have separated me from you and I am truly sorry. Please forgive all my sins and help me. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is alive right now with you in Heaven. I receive what He has done to pay for my sins and I invite Him into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Please come into my life from this day forward.I receive your love for me today just as I am and thank you for being my Lord and Savior and making me your child. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
Unfortunately, there are so many different ways we view our relationship with God. Some see Him as The Supreme Being (which He is) that’s looking for ways to punish us with a lightning bolt in His hand just waiting for us to do someone stupid (which He is NOT). As soon as we do something stupid…BAMM Lighting Bolt On Your Butt! But we know that’s doesn’t happen or no one would be walking around straight or sitting comfortably. Others have heard and been taught about all the rules and regulations that God has for us and that we need to become “worthy” of Him by changing our actions, acting like “better” people, and doing better things. I submit to you that the only thing that is needed you need to “Allow Him” to love you right now the way you are today.
The parable goes, “What man of you, if he has a hundred sheep and should lose one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness (desert) and go after the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his [own] shoulders, rejoicing. And when he gets home, he summons together [his] friends and [his] neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep which was lost. Thus, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind, abhorring his errors and misdeeds, and determines to enter upon a better course of life) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.” Luke 15:4-7 AMP
The story illustrates how much The Shepherd longs to find the sheep; not how much “work” the sheep needs to do to become worthy of the Shepherd. The parable says that the shepherd “finds”, “lays it (the sheep) on his own shoulders”, “rejoices” and “goes home”. What does the sheep do? The sheep “is found”, “is carried”, “is rejoiced over” and “allows itself to be taken home with the shepherd to his home”. So The Shepherd is not waiting for you to get right to come to Him he just needs you to let Him love you.
Actually “becoming right” is a process that starts when you let Him work on you. Sometimes you remain sick until you go see the doctor, you don’t sit at home sick and wait to get better to go to the doctor. God is the same way, He wants you to come to Him sick, broken, messed up, messed over and in need, that when He can truly care for you. There are a lot of “Christians” who are still not right after years of having been carried! Why? Because our actions do not change His love for us no matter what we do. The price for our actions was paid for by His son Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross. If God made us pay for your actions every time, then what His son Jesus did was not good enough for Him.
You are loved the way you are right now. So just let God love you today. It’s not about what you know, where you’ve been or what you have done. It’s about letting God love you where you are and how you are. Once you let Him into your life, only then does He have the right to make you into something better.
If you want to let His love into your heart today, you don’t need a church, preacher or anyone else but to believe that He loves you and that He sent His son Jesus to pay the price for your misdeeds and sins for you. Where you are right now, just read and believe this Prayer of Salvation:
If you’ve prayed that prayer from your heart, you are now a child of God through Jesus. This is a fact, whether or not you feel any different. Religious people may say that you should feel something – a warm glow, a tingle, or some other mystical experience. The fact is, you may, or you may not. If you have prayed the prayer of salvation and meant it, you are a child of God and He now lives in you…period! The Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure! “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
You are loved right now and His love in your heart will make you into a new person. Never forget that
He loves you and whenever you are down or feeling alone say to yourself, “God and Jesus loves me.” not by because of what I do but because He is love and it’s what He does. All you do is let Him love you and receive that love for you right now, the way you are today…NOTHING MORE!!!
Thanks again and have a great day!!!
